001 — The Brand

A paper for every printer in your shop.

Paropy is engineered around the printer technology, not retrofitted from one base sheet. Whether you run a Sawgrass Virtuoso, a white toner laser, a desktop Epson, or all three, there's a Paropy paper tuned for the work.

01

Three print methods

Sublimation, color laser, and inkjet papers, each formula tuned to its printer technology. No compromise sheets that try to be everything to everyone.

02

Seventeen papers

From workhorse 80gsm sublimation to two-step self-weeding laser, water slides, leather and wood, soft-hand inkjet, and full-color temporary tattoos.

03

Endless substrates

Polyester, cotton, blends, mugs, tumblers, tiles, brushed metal, glass, wood, leather, candles, soap, ceramics, photo panels, mouse pads, skin.

002 — How it Works

Three workflows. Same goal.

Each Paropy family follows a slightly different process. Pick a print method below to see exactly how it works, step by step.

Sublimation: Ink → gas → permanent print

Heat turns sublimation ink into a gas that bonds with polyester or coated surfaces. The result is a print embedded in the substrate, not sitting on top of it.

1

Print mirrored

Print your design mirrored onto Paropy sublimation paper using a sublimation printer.

2

Tape to blank

Heat-tape the printed paper to a polyester garment, mug, tumbler, or coated blank.

3

Press hot

Apply heat (typically 385–400°F) for 45–60 seconds with firm, even pressure.

4

Peel & done

Remove the paper. The image is permanently bonded — no fade, no peel, no cracking.

Color Laser: Toner-based, hard-surface friendly

Toner fuses to a release coating. Heat transfers that coating onto fabric, leather, wood, or metal. Versatile across many substrates.

1

Print right-reading

Print your design on a color laser printer. Most laser papers print right-reading.

2

Position carefully

Align on your fabric or hard surface. For leather, wood, or metal, mirror first.

3

Press medium-heavy

300–330°F depending on paper. Time varies (40 sec for wood, 90–180 sec for metal).

4

Cool peel

Let it cool, then peel. Soft hand on fabric, scratch-resistant film on hard surfaces.

Inkjet: Desktop printing for cotton tees

The accessible workflow. Any inkjet printer, any cotton garment. Light papers for white shirts, dark papers with opacity layers for black tees.

1

Print with inkjet

Light paper: print mirrored. Dark paper: print right-reading. Standard inkjet printer.

2

Trim to design

For dark paper, trim closely around your image. Light paper has minimal background.

3

Press firmly

Light: ~375°F, peel warm. Dark: 375°F for 20–25 seconds with heavy pressure.

4

Wash-tested

Soft hand, vibrant color, minimal cracking even after repeated washing cycles.

Self-Weeding: Skip the cutting step

A two-sheet system that removes the unprinted background automatically. No cutter, no tweezers, no tacking. Built for white toner laser printers.

1

Print on A-sheet

Print your full-color design on Paropy A-sheet using a white toner laser printer.

2

Marry A + B

Press A-sheet face-down onto B-sheet. The B-sheet bonds to your image only.

3

Peel — magic

Pull apart immediately. Background stays on A. Your image is on B, fully self-weeded.

4

Press to garment

Press the B-sheet onto your shirt. Soft hand, high opacity, zero trimming time.

007 — Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

What's the difference between 80gsm and 120gsm sublimation paper?

+

Weight changes how the paper behaves. 80gsm is lighter, dries faster, and uses less ink, making it ideal for high-speed and high-volume jobs but not recommended for after-market inks. 120gsm is heavier, holds more ink without bleeding, and is the safer pick for full-saturation prints, after-market ink users, and anyone fighting pizza-wheel marks.

What does "self-weeding" mean and why should I care?

+

Self-weeding (also called TrimFree) papers eliminate the cutting and weeding step. Designed for white toner laser printers, they come as a two-sheet system: you press A-sheet and B-sheet together, peel, and the paper itself removes the unprinted background. Then you press to the shirt. No cutter, no tweezers, no tacking. Massive time saver for full-color graphics.

Can I sublimate onto cotton?

+

Not directly, no. Sublimation chemistry only bonds with polyester. SubliCotton transfer paper is the workaround: it carries the sublimation ink onto cotton fibers, producing a thin, soft transfer with minimal fading or cracking. SubliCotton Light is for white and light shirts. SubliCotton Dark is for dark shirts.

Which paper works with my printer?

+

Match the paper to the printer technology. Sublimation papers work with sublimation printers (Sawgrass Virtuoso, Epson with sublimation inks, Ricoh). Color laser papers work with oil-based and most non-oil-based color laser copiers and printers, with TrimFree variants requiring white toner laser printers specifically. Inkjet papers work with standard desktop inkjet printers using pigment, dye-based, or sublimation inks.

Why does dark transfer paper need to be heavier than light?

+

Dark transfer papers carry an opacity layer (often white) that lets your design show against dark fabric. That opacity layer is what gives you bright, readable graphics on a black tee instead of a muddy ghost. Light papers don't need it because the fabric is already a bright printable surface.

Can I really print temporary tattoos at home?

+

Yes. Paropy Tattoo paper comes in inkjet and laser versions and uses a two-sheet system: print on the carrier with the special coating, apply the adhesive sheet, cut to shape, and apply to skin with a wet cloth. Tattoos generally last up to three days. Used for events, race numbers, film and theater, and the school project that suddenly got serious.
